Janet Beaton, Jim Craigen, Don Farquharson, Suzanne Farquharson, Jamie Finan, Aileen Fletcher, Marg Geer, Charmaine Huculak, Penny Kutlik, John Logue, Sue Nieuwenburg, Karen Parker, Maria Provencher, Karen Sheppard, Charlie Turner and I along with all our fabulous VOLUNTEERS, we want to wish you and your family a happy, healthy, fun-filled month of MAY!  

 

RTOERO District 28 Region of Durham offers membership, events, programs & services for teachers, school & board administrators, educational support staff, college and university faculty in career and in retirement. 

 

A very diverse collection of individuals belong to District 28. Our District 28 group includes: teachers, support staff, EAs, secretaries, custodians, Early Childhood Educators, administrators, pension members of faculty from university or college, spouses of OTPP members, individuals who worked in a school or school board office receiving a pension from CUPE, OPSEU, or OMERS. This website is a place to get current information on or about RTOERO and to share information that focuses on our District 28 area.


ANNOUNCING THE 2021 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING!

 

WHAT:     RTOERO District 28 - Annual General Meeting

WHEN:     June 15, 2021 at  9:00 - 10:00 a.m. (Login at 8:45 a.m.)

HOW:       Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this meeting will be held via Zoom Conferencing.  

      Registration will be required. (Separate e-mail notification) Verification of membership will be completed.

      We will send via e-mail and web posting of a link and information in our upcoming E-Blast & future newsletters.

WELCOME NEW ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS!

 

We welcome both Jamie Finan and Aileen Fletcher.   As of March 1st, Jamie will assume the position as our Board Treasurer replacing, Marvin Belfour who has done an exception job, guiding us, ensuring our fiscal records were accurate and up to date, and so much more!   We thank, our good friend, Marvin for his commitment and dedication and thank Jamie for coming forward to enthusiastically assume this important position.  We look forward to working with you.

 

As of June 16, Aileen Fletcher will assume the position of Bursary Scholarship Chair replacing, our good friend, Karen Parker who has and continues to do a wonderful job ensuring our connection to Durham College and Ontario Tech University is strong as we continue to support students who are in financial need and support research programs that will benefit all seniors.   We thank Karen for her dedication and commitment and thank Aileen for coming forward to continue this important work.

 

WELCOME to all our un-elected Volunteers.  We appreciate your enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to bring joy and happiness to others!
